As for Bush, i’d say he’s been a mediocre if not dissapointing president, he had such good promises, fighting terrorists, reducing gas prices, hydrogen cars, etc. but so far all thats been given is increased gas prices, and low approval ratings. Kerry or Gore might not have made exemplory presidents either, but at this point in his term i’d say either of them would have been the lesser of 2 evils compared to Bush.

While granted his father was a MUCH better president, this could be linked to the fact that he was director of the CIA for several years before he became president.
His father knew invading Iraq was a bad idea and stopped at the border. Why is it such a bad idea you might ask? Well because it was a fractured country barely held together, and any change in it would result in the factions fighting in civil war and any occupier would have to deal with that.
You are probably not aware that we had plans in Afgahnistan and Iraq way before we actually invaded them. As soon as Bush took office he has been looking for an excuse to invade Iraq, after all Saddam Hussian did try to get his daddy assisinated. It just so happens that we had 3 navel fleets in the area, during 9/11, as well as a British Fleet. We were going to invade regardless of 9/11, it just gave a short lived boost to our excuse.
Afgahnistan had to be invaded, the Taliban was killing the Opium crops about 70% of the worlds opium came from Afgahanistan at the time. After we took over the plants were planted again. Al Qeada did happen to be based there so it was another bonus. Why such a fuss about Opium, we are using the opium trade to control China, juat as the British have done extensively in the 19th century.
There is also a major missperception here about Democrats, Republicans like to paint them as weak in defense... well they are not, After all Democrats controlled the country during the entirety of World War II that was 3 terms in office for Roosevelt. I can give other examples but that would be beating a dead horse.
The main difference between Republicans and Democrats:
Republicans: Corrupt Bigots (in general) that overspend on military and support big business
Democrats: Corrupt pseudo liberals that spend on social programs.
As for our excuse for going to war, I am actually still suprised that some here think this, we never found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, that were not destroyed or rendered uselss be age (a lot of them were pre-1991 from the Iran war, when Iraq was still our ally.) Fact is most of these chemical weapons shelf-lives are a few months... they had been buried for over a decade.
The problem with Bush is he is not just a liar, he is an arrogent liar, with poor domestic and foreign policy. I guess the old phrase keep telling a lie even after it is proved false, and people will still believe you.
Bush personally has no oil interest in Iraq, some of the poeple he knows does, but that is not even a concern of mine. Gas prices on average stand near 3$ a gallon which is 3 times the amount it was under the Clinton Administration. And in spite of the price of oil going up so high, oil companies continue to make RECORD profits. This probably isn’t a concern to most of you that don’t drive.... but it makes a big difference in the Economy.
It is a fact (I could cite you statistics from the Census Bureau) that the top 10% make 90% of the money in this country, that is a 10% increase, while the 80% of the workforce makes less then they did 6 years ago. Thanks in no small part of the Bush Adminstration.
Republicans are really about corporations, they pretend to be Moral and have Christian values in order to trick the majority of people to vote for them even though it is against their better interests.
I third party would be preferable, but isn’t going to happen any time soon.
Bush will go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever, up there with LBJ (Johnson Vietnam) and Andrew Jackson (Who commited wholesale genicde on the Native Americans).
