I do not think that could cause ones head to explode. It would probably kill you though because the air would be forced down to your lungs and blow them up or create a dangerous amount of pressure. But, no, I would say this is fake.
It was really weird though, freaked me out the first time I saw it but then I watched it like 5 more times and I now wonder how that could possibly happen...
It is not real. Imagine a human head as a watermelon. If a watermelon explodes, it makes a squishy noise, not a boom. If anything, the crackle of the bones would make noise.
Now, you can hear the guy blowing the raft up... it is very windy. How on Earth can you possibly hear that.
