Okay so something a little different than flat out Mario vs Sonic.

From playing a lot of Sonic games and numerous Sonic games I always thought the Sonic characters had the edge over Mario characters in terms of speed,power, and what not. If there was an all out war between Eggman and his robots(This could include Eggman using one of his own Mechs to fight as well and his Egg Fleet or Sonic/Knuckles based robots, anything that Eggman builds can be used in the argument here) or Bowser and his army(Koopa troopas, Boos,Goombas,Bob-omb,Piranha Plants,Kamek, Bowser/Giga Bowserwhat ever.) who would win?

Eggman and his robots wouldn’t be an exception. Eggman built powerful robots. His basic Egg Pawns would have no trouble doing away with the average Koopa Troopa. The Egg Pawns Eggman’s own customized gun or often large lances or Rocket Launchers. Some of the Egg Pawns carry strong rock or metal sheilds as well. The E-2000(or was it 20000 I forget) series are red or golden robots that can hover in the air. Their sheilds are nearly indestructable sheilds and their primary weapons are fairly large laser cannons.

The Badnicks are the name of Eggman’s older robots that often resemble an animal or insect. These ones are still strong, though their movements tend to be somewhat more predictible and usually aren’t as tough to beat. I’d say the Buzzbombers could overcome the Koopa Paratroopa seeing as thouh the Buzzbombers are metal bee robots that can shoot out of where a normal bees stinger would be. Bob-Ombs would be tough for some of Eggman’s robots, but in Sonic CD, Eggman has much bigger walking bombs that when they explode, they cover a greater blast range then Bob-Ombs.Egg-Robos are robots that resemble Eggman himself, they have jetpacks and carry blasters with them. Those robots have also been used to pilot Eggman’s Vehicles for him. In Sonic Heros, there are Eggman robots that look just like him and are used to pilot his vehicles as well. Eggman’s has built various vechiles and bases for himself, many of them are much larger than even Giga Bowser. I Sonic 3&Knuckles, Eggman Pilots a huge Robot which fingers could crush Sonic and that robot shot out a large beam powered by the Master Emerald as well. In Shadow the Hedgehog Eggman piloted a very fast Egg Dealer, which was a slot machine in which if he activated all the slots, he would drop bombs, shoot several missles, or release Egg Pawns. The Egg Emperor looked like a giant Egg Pawn that can fly. The Egg Emperor carried a sheild and a lance, and when the Eggman Robot slahed with the lance, there was an energy shockwave that followed.

Several of Eggman’s bases would make Bowser look smaller than an ant. Eggman Had the Death Egg(A spacestation based off of Star Wars Death Star, though not nearly as large it was definatley bigger than any city probably about the size of a small state in US) Of course there is the huge battleship, the Egg Carrier which has multiple cannons along with a giant laser cannon. then of course their is the Egg Fleet.

So umm yeah I’ve heard discussion about this but I don’t think Bowser and his army could stand up to Eggman and his robot army.

You forgot the Final Egg Blaster that could destroy a planet. But even without it I really don’t see a way for Bowsers army to win. Bowser versus Eggman in the machine Eggman had on Sonic Adventure 2 that could do powerful attacks, take powerful attacks, and in my opinion moved faster than Bowser. Giga Bowser versus Egg Emperor well Giga Bowser is even slower than Bowser and I really can’t see him breaking Egg Emperors shield. Eggmans Army ftw.

Eggman. He wouldn’t even need the Final Egg Blaster to destroy the planet. He has hundreds of Badniks and E-series robots. Plus he has alot of inventions he can use to fight Bowser with himself. Also if you use Robo-Eggman from the Sonic comic books if he touches Bowser or Bowser touches him he becomes a robot under his control.

The Swatbots
The SWATbots are humanoid robotic shock troopers from the SatAM and Archie comics Sonic the Hedgehog series continuities. Designed by Warlord Julian Kintobor (who would later become the evil Dr. Robotnik) for use during the Great War, early SWATbot units were initially under the control of the Kingdom of Acorn, but were reprogrammed when Julian rechristened himself Dr. Robotnik and took near total control of Mobius in the year 3224. Years later, Robotnik programmed all SWATbot units with the code “Priority One”, which ordered them to specifically pursue the Mobian rebel Sonic on sight, who became the dictator’s arch-nemesis.

A bulkier, more formidable SWATbot breed exists in the TV series Sonic Underground. They come in several variations, use multiple vehicles, and all have orders to capture Sonic and his siblings. However, these SWATbots are incredibly inefficient, being vulnerable to water and having an easily accessed control panel on their arm.

In the Archie Comic Series there are supposedly improved models of SWATbots called Shadowbots, created by Robo-Robotnik (Dr. Eggman as he is referred to now). Eggman claims they are superior to their predecessors, but a past conflict between the original Robotnik’s SWATbots seemed to prove otherwise. Shadowbots usually sport a metallic black color, much like their SatAM cousins. The Delta-class Shadowbot was soon replaced by a larger, more destructive model dubbed the Gamma-class Shadowbot. Eggman has unleashed what he calls “SWATbot Mk IIs” as of late, but so far there do not appear to be any major improvements made over the Gamma-class.

Combots
The Combots are superior versions of the SWATbot model. Far more intelligent and capable of camoflauge, they are the ultimate military robots. Many are in service to Crocbot, the sub-boss of Downunda. They despise the inferior SWATbots, one of the few signs of open intelligence among Robotnik’s robot army.

Sonic is normally faster than sound, and he could tear through most metals faster than Jason Voorhees tears through Random Teenage Victim number 645 that is currently too busy having sex to get the hell out of there(okay bad comparasion,I know).
Eggman sort of did capture Sonic once. Aboard the Ark in space, Eggman trapped Sonic in a capusle and launched it into space where the capsule exploded. Sonic however, learned how to used Chaos Control and escaped the capsule before it exploded, and he did it with a fake Emerald too.
WTF are turtles with wings going to do to solid metal flyng ships and robots? Goombas are vey clumsy and easy to kill, their no match for weapons varing from RPG to spike traps,to super lasers.

Bomb-Ombs would be a small problem, I doubt Bowser has enough off them to take out Eggman’s entire Army, especially since only a few of Eggman’s robots would be destroyed by one Bomb-Omb, while it would take many to destroy Eggman’s more advance robots or your average Eggfleet Ship.

Bowser doesn’t have an attack that would work like the Thundershoot, so he’d have no way of breaking the Egg Emperor’s sheild. Plus Giga Bowser is no where nearly as fast as the Egg Emperor, or Egg Viper. I’d say that Robot that Eggman uses at the end of Sonic 2 would be the most fair pick to fight Giga Bowser, otherwise it be too unfair.

Anyone who played Sonic Adventure 2 should know that capturing Sonic doesn’t go too well.

Lol whatever but i think eggman’s robot are made out of shitty pieces of metal since every sonic game i zipped through the stage like crazy and blew em all up or the fact that eggman is a loser.Plus bowser commanded tons of enemies like those football like warriors and piranhas and i think the boos plus the boos are immune to physical or projectile damage unless ur luigi who sucks em in wit a vacuum.Hmmmmmmm has anyone noticed in almost every mario and sonic game its always bowser and eggman the baddies?

I would think a man who has a 300 IQ would not use crap metal, it just that Sonic is strong, damn strong. I’d bet that it wouldn’t make a difference if Eggman had his robots made out of Aluminum Foil or Titanium, Sonic tear through them all. Boos aren’t invunerable either. In Super Mario 64 Mario defeats them with a punch from behind. Those Pirahanas aren’t that tough, heck one of the boss ones could be hurt by Yoshi throwing a freakin egg at it. The football like warriors couldn’t even touch a lot of Eggman’s robots, and it’d be foolish for those things to charge the Egg Pawns that have spears or a gun.

Actually, I think most of eggman’s robots are crap. metal. Like the animal bots and egg-pawns. But some of them are extremly powerful and resistant, like the E-Series and E-1000 Series.

Yeah Eggman can use Chaos Emeralds, Super Emeralds, the Master Emerald, could possible turn himself into Robo-Eggman which from simply touching him turns you into a robot under his control, or simply use the Final Egg Blaster and destroy the Earth.

good answer, and I don’t hate Sonic, it’s just I’ve lost interest sense he moved into 3-D
