it’s true that rap has gotten worse over the years, but that’s only mainstream rap, which talks about having a lot of money and fucking any woman the rapper sees. Gangster rap before 2001 is good, and some is still good.
what really makes me mad is the fact that the metalheads are just targeting mainstream stereotypical rap. i could say that all people who listen to rock like to cut themselves and worship a being that will torture them in Hell for eternity after they die. but that’s not the case, considering that i listen to rock and i am perfectly sane.
it’s the same for rap. not all rap is about money and hoes. try listening to K-OS, Fort Minor, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, Mos-Def and Common. they talk about other things. plus, there’s people like Dr. Dre, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Ghostface Killah, NWA and The Roots.
it obviously doesn’t suck if as many people like it that like rock, because yo udont like it doesn’t mean it sucks, I can’t stand metal in any form, that doesn’t mean it sucks, it’s my taste, it’s different cultures, yo ucan’t say tribal music in china is any better or worse than native american tribal music
