even though i like rock more than rap, i have to say that rap isn’t as shallow as you think. songs by tupac, nas, dead prez, rakim and Talib Kwelei are really good. plus, all of these comments by the people who hate rap are really gay. like Metal Enforcer, he says that all of these people who listen to rap are sheeps, yet he doesn’t realize that he acts like all other goths who think that everyone who isn’t like them is a conformist, which is sort of like what the popular people think of them, just that they think of goths as losers, which is true.

The shit. So, dissing rap in general is a pretty ignorant thing to do. Espically if you havent heard any good rap. Political rap, like “Immortal Technique” or just plain, good, rap like “NaS” or “Busta Rhymes” is good. Besides many rappers rap about such broad topics that many dont get it.
Like “and I smell Teen Spirit”. Thats a Nirvana song, right? “Not branching out to other music” my ass.

“I tote big guns like I’m still playin' Contra”
You’d have to be a nerd, or an older person to know what Contra is....
Also, many songs are now taking guitar riffs, and it sounds ok. Until they perfected it its not really that good.
But, how many of you listen to Linken Park? Theres a whole album of Linken Park and Jay-Z mixing thier songs together. And its done well. So that comment about rap being single minded and isolated from other music has been easily debunked.....
So, chew on that before your next mindless rap bashing.

When I first replyed, I should have been specific, Rap Sucks NOW. I’m Talkingabout al of the untalened rappers Now. I by no means meant, 2Pac, Nas, Run-D.M.C. or really any of the 90s or 80s rappers. I meant that what happened to the music sucks it used to be about more. Not just hoes, drugs, and money. So now the world knows why I like Mtal more, I feel like it has more to offer and takes more talent to play.

None of those are rock legends. Rock came before rap any way legends are Metallica, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and a lot of other bands. And besides at least metal didn’t turn gay by the year 2000.
P.S. I know who Rakim is, he used to rap with Eric B., there best song was don’t sweat the technique.

Honestly. I used to love rap. and now i love Rock/Metal. Trust me. Metal/Rock is 10,000 times better. I mean think about it. All rappers do is talk behind a polyphonic beat. In Rock/Metal, they have to learn instruments, play instruments, learn to read notes, wright music, SING ((while playing instruments, (Most of the Time)) SCREAM (without blowing their vocal chords), and the lyrics are ALWAYS different. Have you ever researched how hard it is to Scream...You have NO idea. However, I’m sure that I CAN rap fairly easily if I wanted to.
Rap: Retards Attempting Poetry.
All they do is make a beautiful poem about how hard they shot up a liquor store. I could’ve written the same “song” in 2nd Grade.
I’m just saying, the amount of skill and intelligence in Rock/Metal out performs Rap on EVERY aspect. Therefore there is no real debate. And that my friend is why rappers don’t deserve my respect.
