That’s ironic considering rap music was born to go against the norm and trying to be different ie not fitting in.By the way,how can rap hate forms of music with instruments when that’s the exact type of music that rappers grew up on and influnced them (Funk,soul,gospel etc..)?

-Rock has worse lyrics and is all satanic / rock can have just as disturbing or controversial lyrics but never anything as degrading, haha, name any satanic musicians and ill give you a dollar

I’m just saying, the amount of skill and intelligence in Rock/Metal out performs Rap on EVERY aspect. Therefore there is no real debate. And that my friend is why rappers don’t deserve my respect.

first off rock IS so much better than rap ...BY FAR!!! i admit that when i was younger i was influenced to listening to rap nut then i got a mind of my own and decided to make my own decisions, one of which was my preferences in music. and from what i read above yes there are satanic rock bands/ singers such as cradle of filth, marilyn manson, etc. and btw ozzy osbourne doesn’t worship satan if he did all those crosses he wears would be upside down. but there are also christian metal bands, listen to demon hunter, they’re actually very inspirational. but yes rock is MUCH more complex than rap, considering you have to learn electric n bass guitar, drums, vocals and at times the keyboard for special effects. it takes years to master those and then having to sing while playing is even harder. then learning how to scream without messing up your vocal chords a whole other story. and yes rap does basically repeat itself over and over again to an annoying level. in rock there IS tempo, rhythm, and beats that constantly change. and lmao rap does repeat the same polyphonic beat through out the whole song. but what also get’s to me is there lifestyle and the way they dress. rappers all look alike, wearing oversized shirts, and pants, and then there’s the “grillz” wtf? what happened to fillings? are your teeth that fucked up, you have to hide them behind mettalic molds? who in gods name came up with those ridiculous looking things? try brushing your teeth and wearing clothes that fit. and why are rappers girlfriends all slutty wearing next to nothing. i dunno about you but i like a lady not a walking disease bag. OH and do me a favor, go back to 3rd grade because all of you need some serious work on your grammar skills...or should i say “skillzz”? can’t forget about your godforesaken ability to spell. one of you rappers read the lyrics to “sober” by Tool and tell what the songs about...too complex for you isn’t it? also there’s nothing poetic in rap it’s just talking to a beat about some hood and probably how you were shot or something right? of course i’m right. your “music” has no meaning, unlike rock...and no emo isn’t the only kind of rock that has meaning, get the lyrics to some metal and check it out. and the reason metal heads scream is to show true aggression unlike you estrogen filled rappers.so to finish this up rap isn’t music it’s just noise with some poorly educated guy talking to that polyphonic beat discussed earlier. true music is put together with a melody, beat, rhythm and tempo which change at some point in the song. something too difficult for rappers to grasp..and please someone put up a better arguement than “a typical rockers response"
