Here is a summary: If you want the full version, then I’ll give it to you.

* Raw processing power is not the only constraint on system performance. Two processing cores sharing the same system bus and memory bandwidth limits the real-world performance advantage. Even in theory, a dual-core system cannot achieve more than a 70% performance improvement over a single core, and in practice, will most likely achieve less.

Think about this. We know that having 1 core would mean 100% yield. 2 Cores would have 170% yield. Multiply that by 70% (.7). The general formula for it is.

1-Core=100 which is 1.0GHZ
2-Core=170 which is 1.7GHZ (times 170%)
3-Core=219 which is 2.19GHZ (7/10 times 7/10=49/100]
4-Core=253 which is 2.533 GHZ (7/10 times 7/10 times 7/10= 343/100]
5-Core=277 which is 2.7731 GHZ (.7 x .7 x .7 x .7= 2401/10000)
6-Core=294 which is 2.94117 (.7 x .7 x .7 x .7 x .7=16807/100000)
7-Core=306 which is 3.058819 (.7 x .7 x .7 x .7 x .7 x .7=117649/1000000)

It took me half an hour to reach that conclusion... and basically, 7 cores offer 3 times as much processing power as 1 core, because of efficiency and bottlenecks.

The GC had 2 cores and the PS2 1, I think.

The GC is how many times more powerful than the PS2?

Gamecube had one core with nearly twice as power as the PS2 Core.

PS3 Fan Ultimate- I don’t think you know what you are trying to state. Sound is related directly to compresssion, and the PS3 WILL have superior sound to any other because of BluRay Capacity
