How can you “win” E3? nobody was declared a winner when the shows were over. You could just say that some comapanies did better than others.

The only way to say they “won” is on the popularity. And the Wii had both the PS3 and 360 owned in that department, partly because nobody played the Wii yet and people already own the 360.

No they said microsoft did a better performance and had many worthwhile games and also showed upcoming things to live and stuff you can but for the 360.

And a bunch of other stuff that would take me days to explain.

Anyway, G$ looks at all the facts and comes up with an answer.

In terms of popularity Wii definitely won. The day of E3 all I heard was news about Nintendo and Wii, I hadn’t heard a thing about Microsoft.

Exactly, because the only real news Microsoft had was for games, Wii had the entire console to reveal.

Ha, I’m no fanboy dude. I’m just stating facts, the Wii was the most popular console at E3. I didn’t see any 6 hour long lines for the 360.

To say that you only heard of Nintendo news during E3 is to say that Nintendo news is all that you listened for. Microsoft had a much more impressive showing of games at E3 as indicated by numerous awards from I ign and others. However, the general public was not let into the “behind closed doors” demonstrations for games like Bioshock and Mass Effect, so their general newsworthiness shrank. The only reason the lines for the Wii were so long were because: 1) Nintendo had a much smaller both with less consoles to play on then than MS or Sony. 2) The Wii was essentially the only “questionable” at E3 as to its value/playability. 3) Nintendo’s killer apps were available to the public.

Microsoft also unveiled a few key things in their press conference (which was hands down more exciting/eventful than Nintendo’s): 1) New games like Fable 2 and Forza 2. 2)GTA 4 will come to 360 3)Halo 3 announcement 4) live anywhere 5)new xbox live arcade games. Micrsoft emphasized their extensive lineup of quality games which dwarfed that of Nintendo’s.
