War Rock- Its a Battlefield 2 online clone, but a damn good one at that, and its free. Its still in beta, but when the game is finished it’ll still be free. it takes up about 150 mb.

kkrieger- this isn’t a full game, and it only amounts to one level. But, wow! for only 96 kb, this thing packs a punch! The graphics are amazing. If greatness was judge by looks, this thing would be at the top of the freeware charts. Its still a work-in-progress though.

America’s Army- Although this game appeared on the PS2 and Xbox (and cost money) America’s Army is free on the PC. Its about 600 mb.

Death Illustrated- Its a bit weird, but good nonetheless. It’s black and white... literally. it clocks in at 25 mb.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory- This was to be released as a commercial game, but they decided to release it stand-alone! So its as polished as a commercial game, but free. This is a WWII online shooter, and this only has an online mode, but its still awesome. The size is 257.78 mb.

Starsiege Tribes- When Tribes: Vengeance came out, Vivendi decided to release Starsieges Tribes as a free game! So this IS a commercial game, and now its free. file size is 135.7 mb.

Penumbra- a survival horror FP game made by 4 swedish college students. Surprisingly enough though, their project is excellent. The graphics are awesome, and the physics are even better. This is definitely worth the download. Its about 150 mb.

Cube- a very good freeware fps game. size is about 17 mb.

Code REstraight Alien Arena= Online game thats along the lines of Quake III. its about 134 mb.

F.E.A.R Combat- its the entire multiplayer portion of the game, for free! its a hefty 2 gigs though...

NOTE FOR FEAR: You also have to get the CD key to be able to play this. Its on the same site as the link.

Nexuiz- an great online freeware game with all the expected online modes (death match, CTF, TDM and more). It has great graphics as well (for freeware). This file is about 180 mb.

And there you have it. If I find more I’ll add 'em. Hope you find this list helpful!

I downloaded Krueger, but whenever I attempt to run it, it claims to have encountered a problem, and then it closes. I think my computer hates me. Still.

What do you mean?! Of course its legal! This is freeware, meaning that they aren’t charging! Its just people who decided to make games for free.

nope! Although there are 2 games that USED to be real, but the companies decided to release them as standalone freeware games. For instance, you used to have to buy Starsiege tribes, but Vivendi decided to release the first tribes for free when Tribes: Vengeance came out. Aren’t they nice?

Wow, I can’t believe kkrieger is only 97KB. That just shows what compression can really do. This is why it’s NOT imminent to waist money on anything larger then DVD this generation (for games).

still, some games on the PS3 might use compression as tight as kkrieger’s and still might be 25+ gigs.

kkrieger worked for me.... they were saying something about it working with some graphics cards while not with others. The machine I’m currently using (I have one old one and one knew one... currently using old one because other people using new one) a computer with an ATI 9800 pro.

u should download the latest drivers...

go to www.theprodukkt.com for more information about kkrieger.

u do this: first, type in: [img]

then, you type in the url like this: [img]post the image link here

then, u finish with: [/img]

example:

make sure that there are no spaces. for instance, [img] somegooglepciture.jpg[img] would not work because there’s a space.
