Subject: Team Ballsack Multiplayer Gametype Proposal



Team Ballsack would be a variant of Oddball, and be somewhat similar to territories. Each team has one ballsack at the beginning of the game, and the player to pick up the ballsack becomes the ballsack carrier, who is always only armed with a big 'ol sack over their shoulder. It has the same damage effect as the bomb carrier in assault. The ballsack carrier can move fast or slow or have regular shields or overshields or whatever. He cannot be assassinated because his ballsack will be in the way. In the game, there are 1-3 balls on the map, depending on the variants, and the teams have to get the balls, and get them to their ballsack carrier. In a transaction from ball carrier to ballsack carrier, the ball cannot touch the ground, so it must be thrown, which would introduce a whole new technique to the game: Throwing. The ball carrier can do a light toss, somewhat similar to how a flag can be thrown in Halo 2, or a power toss, where the ball travels a great distance, like a brute shot grenade maybe, but not as powerful or fast. The ballsack carrier must be in front of the ball as it approaches him, and hold X to perform a successful catch. The ball can also be thrown by a ball carrier or ballsack carrier at an opponent for a 1 hit kill, if they aren’t able to catch it. Balls can be stolen from an enemy ballsack carrier’s ballsack, if someone sneaks up behind them and hold X at their ballsack. When a ball is stolen from a ballsack, there is a ball stolen alert. Balls can only be stolen from a ballsack one at a time. A ballsack carrier can be killed, and in such an event, all of their balls spill out. That is why a ballsack carrier overshield may be practical. For each ball in a ballsack, it adds one second of time to that teams score. Much like territories, with one ball in the sack it adds one point per second, if two, two points per second, etc. The team to have the most points at the end of the game, or the first to reach a certain score, wins.

Of these games, I have played America’s Army, War Rock and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

My favourite out these is definately America’s Army. I might download some others later on and try em out.

i just got done playing Prey for the 360 and it was a fun innovative game.
..i would rent it before anyone buys it though..
