And he did it, he dived off..... and never came back up.
That part of the lake is about 600 feet deep, not a good place for idiots or bad swimmers.
But i feel so bad cuz they were all happy, the reaction on their face when after 3 minutes he never came back up.
It was so sad.

I have earned my disillusionment. Rep: 53 Joined: 03 May 2006 Posts: 7,416 | I haven’t actually witnessed a death because of something stupid (are you ok by the way? that must have been pretty awful to witness!!!)
I live in the city, and sometimes a group of teenagers try to impress each other with stunts on the subway. One time when I was on a couple of girls (who had guys in their company they were trying to impress), kept wrenching apart the wrong doors at almost every stop. It took quite a lot to open those doors - and with the force they could have easily fallen onto the tracks.
Another my sister saw. A teenage boy dropped something onto the track by accident, so he jumped down to retrieve it. A train started coming. His friends started screaming at him “jump back, jump back!" He refused to move until he retrieved the item (I think it was a hat he had been tossing to himself if I remember correctly). He just missed getting hit by the train. ---

(couldn’t hear what he was saying)
Anyway, it was tragic, and they could not get the body because it was so deep, so that just adds to the sadness of it.
Anyway, i’m never swimming in that lake again, seeing someone who you don’t even know die, it really has an effect on you.

Then again knowing you and seeing how you react on these forums, you are easily one of the few smart people here.
