Why do parents blame video games?

Seriously does anyone here think parents blame videos games because they hav nothing else to blame and just want to escape their responsibilites to tell the fact of life to their children.My parents blame me of learning “bad language” like ass,shit or crap etc because of video games and most of my games are rated t to e.When it all comes to the fact that parents say these curse words or unapporiate things in their conversation and such.They also blame games for violence.I dont get it.My parents(i h8 to call them idiots) are infact numb of this factor in video games affecting life.My life is alirght im just curious that parents accuse entertainment of its manner.Plus we wouldnt be stupid enough to pull off tracherous and dangerous things like GTA.Nowadays videos games are a portal to parents excuses.
Yea im grounded because they think i learned the word"Shit,damn,crap,gay” or telling jokes because of a rated E game(Thanks alot Kingdom Hearts).My parents are like the parents of southpark plain stupid

I agree, this issue has been raging for the past several years.

If they say it’s the games fault you learned those curse words, then you’r parents need a reality check.

I’m easily sure they were the first people to curse in front of you.

And violence in video games?

If they blame games because kids act violent today, then they might as well blame movies, songs, and society.

And some kids have done horrible things, like shoots people and stuff.

And when the police ask them were they got the idea, they say GTA or some other games.

But is it the games fault?

No, it’s the kids fault, it’s like if i give you a gun, but if you shot someone with it, who’s fault is it?

You’rs, see it’s very simple, also bad parenting could be a cause for this too.

And just because i play Halo and shoot stuff, do i suddenly get the idea to go snipe people?

Nope, thus the video games are not guilty of anything.

It’s all because of stupid kids.

parents just dont want to admit its there fault tht their child swears.

on tv on those nanny shows ive seen the parents swear so much! and they blame it on the stupid computer or ps2.
the only games ive known is halo(1 word) tht swears and grand theft auto(over the top)
the rest dont have any bad language at all!

if u watch rugby games on tv they get into fist fights way more than people do at tournaments of call of duty 2 or so on.

i play video games tons and i bearly swear. infact i would say i only got my swearing from my mates and not tv or ps2
