AC/DC are mid 70’s hard rock.
At least MetallicA created genre that is too underground for your tastes. Somebody like you probably listens to Metallica’s
Load and ReLoad but not their old thrahier offerings.

Live like an angel, die like a devil Rep: 18 Joined: 01 Apr 2007 Posts: 12,744 OFFLINE | metallica didnt create thrash metal. there were 3 scenes, all of which were influenced by the likes of Motorhead, Venom Mercyful Fate, Judas priest, Iron maiden etc........There was the bay area thrash scene which was the likes of testament, megadeth, metallica, exodus, slayer etc, the east coast, which was more influenced by harcore punk more than other scenes, included anthrax and overkill, and the teutonic thrash scene, which was based in germany, was closer to death metal than other scenes, included Kreator, Sodom, destruction etc.......

Mad for Metal Guest | Metallica are gods to me (or else they wouldn’t be my favourite band) but AC/DC is also one of my favourites because they also know how to rock, so I think they’re tied.

Dude Metallica can fucking shred way better than AC/DC. Kirk Hammet lays down those solos like nobody else in his genre.
AC/DC isn’t even metal by the way. I’ve seen rednecks with rebel flag shirts and AC/DC hats all over the place around here.
Classic Rock.
AC/DC is great, don’t get me wrong, but they don’t come near as close to Metallica.
Even if the band members might be assholes... fuck Napster anyways that site is gay as hell.
