An advanced search field that exists inside the main drop down menu.
Clicking it would bring up a page that has the following radio buttons and text fields.
“Search by username”
“Search by thread title”
“Search by post”
“Keyword”
“From” and “To”
“Find exact match”
“Find similar match”
Often it’s impossible looking for a specific post that someone or myself has made either in a very long thread or scattered somewhere around all the other threads and forums. Especially when you’re looking for something written you wanted to quote, source, or find a link or pic inside.
So, as an example...
I select the radio button “Search by username”, I type in 'gg'. I select “Find exact match”. It brings back every single post ever made where the username is 'gg'. Whether a registered name or not. It doesn’t bring back results where there’s a gg in the name, like Jagging or Digging. Just gg. If it doesn’t find that indentical name it will bring back an error message.
Anyway, so it brings back thousands of results, obviously, for the username gg. Every single post ever made. Now I want to filter this search down a bit. So I type in the “Keyword” field the word “nintendo”. It will bring back every single post made by 'gg' where the word 'nintendo' is inside the title or post. Maybe I want to filter the results even more. So I enter in the “From” field, which is a drop down menu containing all the months, August. The second part of the “From” field has years. So I select 2005. In the “To” fields I select March and 2006. When I click “submit” it brings back every single post ever made by the username 'gg' (registered or not) that contains the word 'nintendo' that was made between August 2005 and March 2006.
From the results returned I finally find that hard to find post I made where I had a link in it that I wanted to source or quote in a new conversation.
Important to remember....when selecting the “Find similar match” button, the results returned will be like Google searching. For instance, some users have had multiple guest names or different configurations of guest names. Like Spartan226. He may have had the guest name Spartan 226 or Spartan117, etc. So, one can choose to select the “Find Similar Match” in the username search.
Thoughts?????

So that we can hide spoilers behind a gray block that can only be seen by highlighting said block.

Ahem allow me to demonstrate by using DBZ.
Some guy who hasn’t seen all of DBZ yet: Hey dude, did you see that episode where Frieza used the death ball on Namek? I hope Goku can save the planet.
Major DBZ Fan who’s seen the whole series: Meh, yeah it’s old, the planet blows up and Goku narrowly escapes with his life after beating the hell outta Frieza, who returns a few episodes later as a cyborg.
Some guy who hasn’t seen all of DBZ yet: Fuck! I havn’t seen it yet you asshole! Thanks for ruing the story dick!
Major DBZ Fan who’s seen the whole series: *gets pissed because the other guy got angry*
And the argument breaks out, so in order to keep spoilers to a minimum in the games and movie/TV/Music section, I recommend spoiler tags that can be made by doing this.
