Hahaha, rap having a message, wahahaha, oh that’s gold.
Sure, one of two have.
99.9999% of the others (just read the rap threads if you don’t believe me) rap about money, cars, women and how much better they are than anyone else.
What a wonderful message, eh?
Those self-serving, chauvanistic, self-obsessed wankers.

thats a problem you listen to to much of one type of music that its the only thing you associate as music, thats the very same reason why people who listen to rap don’t like rock, rock people like rock for the reasons rap people don’t because they’re different, I can listen to maybe the best rock song in the world and Imight not like it because I’m not used to rock.

I despise rap (more specifically, rappers) and can still enjoy one or two songs.
There are a few genres that you might need to 'get used to' to appreciate, namely Jazz, Classical and Extreme Metal (not metal, 90% of it is friggin' pop anyway).

I mean the lead singer of the metalcore band Killswitch Engage is black. And he can fuckin raise the roof’s. He’s good.
It depends on what style you prefer... neither rap or rock is better than eachother in my opinion.
I mainly listen to rock, but I do like underground rap.

I don’t think rock at all,
they are two very different genres, a lot of the time rock people are bad singers. so all it really requires is learning an instrument, and don’t say that’s extremely hard, if it were hard you wouldn’t have rock bands popping up all over the place
Ha! You say rockers are bad singers? You obviously have a lot to learn about music. Rock has been proven to be the hardest music to play (except for classical which is nearly twice as hard). If you think they are bad singers, do this, alright? get your buddies, get together in a temporary rock band, and try to sing like a rock star in front of a crowd. You will see my point.
GO ROCK!

I have many friend who have learned to play the guitar and made a band, it obviously isn’t very hard
and rock singers aren’t that great, the ones that are hitting the top charts can sing. R&B, pop, even country singers all have better voices than rockers
that is because they have been practicing for many years i am sure! why dont u pick up an instrument and try to play the easiest of songs to play, smoke on the water perfectly? that ought to be entertaining.
