No, that is a joke. It’s very American. You may have problems understanding that because you’re Canadian and don’t understand us Americans but it is a joke, nothing more. All I’m trying to do I make peace and you react by insulting.
Americans and Canadians speak different languages in a sense. Alot of Americans say stuff like that but don’t really mean it.
If you are a philosopher you would understand that different cultures have different ways of going about things. One culture may do something that isn’t considered bad in theirs but is bad in another culture. I’m not going to change Canadian just to make you happy. If you haven’t noticed alot of Americans are like this and it’s nothing personal.

Actually I wouldn’t say its cultural - as Canadian humour would offend some people hehe. I would say it’s more that some people find some things humorous, whereas others don’t.
I’d say it’s cultural in some sense. It’s really both but I never meant any offense. I’m just being my American self.
It’s like British humor vs. American humor.
Most British humor seems plain stupid to us Americans while for the British it’s just the opposite.
