well heres a warning,

I actualey missed the old debate of where the few unbiased members would friendly debate on who would win a fight, Now I know, Samus is more Advanced, and she could win, but then, In a tactical fight, without an all out assault, MC COULD win.
now lets keep flames, insults to Samus/MC lovers down to a minimum,
I’m a Samus fanboy but when it comes to debating I try not to be biased. Samus is more advanced in technology but it appears MC is more tactical like you said. For now I don’t really know I’ll see what others post before I come to a decision.

thats cool, with a series of sniper shots to weaken her armor, and then several lunges with an energy sword, I think it could kill Samus.
Okay, so oddly enough... me being a Nintendo fan and all... I know much more about MC than I do Samus. It’s what I get for Arguing in the MC vs Snake thread and not the many Samus versus topics.
However from what I understand Samus' screw attack destroys practically anything it touches and makes her invincible while doing it. So that’s going to be a definite Advantage as it pretty much eliminates MC’s protection and even takes away a lot of his power. (correct me if I’m wrong but the Mjinor Armor does make him stronger, faster, whatever right?)
After the Armor is stripped off MC is just a super human, not the Super Cyborg thingy he was before, at that point I don’t think he’d be able to defeat Samus.
Also, the fact that he’s apparently naked under the armor won’t help... Samus ain’t gonna like that...
With MC’s speed, he could easily avoid the screw attack. Plus, MC has Plasma Rifles and the Energy Sniper Rifle, as well has Plasma Pistols which can fully deplete any of Samus’s energy shields in one shot. Not to mention he has Overshields and the Active Camoflouge which makes him invisible, and an extremely fast reaction time. I think MC would win.
-MC couldn’t avoid the screw attack.
-none of those things are breaking the sheilds in a single shot.
-oversheilds would barely protect him from a missle, if at all.
-invisibility is not an issue for samus: thermal and dark visors
-not gonna help him dodge 5 missles comming at him from all directions.
Note this is basiclly all the things I could think of on what they have done before and what they can use on each other.
Samus’s advantages
1. Can hold many weapons at once
2. Has advanced technology
3. Has visors capable of seeing clocked and thermal foes, also has the scan visor to check enemy weak points and hack into other objects, and has a visor that can call in her ship in case she is in trouble she could call it in to make bombing runs.
4. Most of her weapons have unlimited ammo giving her a huge advantage
5. Has unlimited Bombs to attack with furiously
6. Has a lot of energy in her suit before it shuts down.
7. Can use Phazon to corrupt foes and harm them harshly.
8. Can serew attack for a long time and never get hurt.
Disadvantages
1. Samus hunter weapons all share the same ammo
2. Using the light, Dark, and Annilator beams takes even more ammo away.
3. She has to jump twice before entering her serew attack- if you go by MP2E, it is instint in the classic style games.
4. Bombs are weak and not ment for combat.
5. The sunburst, Darkburst, and Sonicboom all take a ton of ammo and have a small chance of hitting.
6. Charge time for beam and missle weapons can leave her vulnerable.
MC advantages
1. Has Cortana to rival Samus’s scan visor
2. Has super Human abitlies.
3. Is a weapons expert
4. Has many vechiles at his desposial
5. Has rechargeable shields
6. Can take many hits while his shields are down.
7. suit can withstand space, water, lava- yes it happened in the novels.
8. Can withstand intense heat like that of when entering the atomsphere.
9. Has many weapons to deliver hevay damage like the Rocket Luncher, Fuel Rod, or Sparten laser.
Disadvantages
1. His shield rechange can be interupeted.
2. While his shields are down he is vulnerable in nearly every way to what he is normally resistent too.
3. His heavy weapons have a small chance of hitting infantry.
4. The plasma pistol attack can be easyly sidesteped.
5. His Vechiles can easy be totaled with almost any assult or heavy weapon.
6. With out Cortana he is not able to hack into systems.
7. Some of his weapons need to rechrage after some use leaving him vulnerable- for this one there are many senrios so it depends.
Sonic boom has a small chance of hitting
But it moves at the speed of sound. I think it has a great chance of hitting compared to the Sun and Dark burst
Also you mention MC’s suit can withstand water space and lava but forgot to mention it in Samus advantages.

Seeing how the screw attack has a relatively small range of attack, I don’t see MC dodging it as a problem.

Wrong. Overshields are multiple layers of energy sheilds and it’s quite hard to get through; if not, nearly impossible.

Alright. MC can sense wherever Samus is, and has a faster reaction time.

Isn’t getting through his shields. I don’t think anything is going to help Samus against super-charged homing plasma shots that deplete energy shields in one hit.
