all dragonforce songs sound the same. also, they are lyrically stupid and...they are a power metal band. im not talking iced earth power metal, im talking the gay ass kind.
also, the guitar solos are not planned out and they follow no musical pattern. they are improvised...badly. and then played fast.
ALSO, they suck asssssss when they play live.
They are too mainstream
too electronic/fake sounding
too happy
oh...and all of their songs sound the same.
MIND YOU, i think the 2 guitarists of dragonforce are talented. they can play very fast...and i guess im calling it a talent. Also, i like the song “through the fire and flames”
BUT, they dont compare to maiden
maiden has SUPERB lyrical artistry that tells so many stories from real life events that happend centuries ago. Also, they even adress problems of today. but...not in a pussy like way. they always kick ass.
an iron maiden song about the POEM “rime of the ancient mariner” not only stays true to the origional story, BUT THE SONG KICKS ASS. it has two of the greatest guitar solos ever. they were perfectly crafted and put together on specific musical melodies/harmonies.
and this isnt specific to this song. not only is every song on this album a rockin' ass song, but they tell stories and they are all different.
AND THAT ISNT SPECIFIC TO THE ALBUM.
iron maiden also headlined for rock in rio which holds one of the HIGHEST CONCERT ATTENDANCE RECORDS OF ALL TIME.
ALSO, steve harris is the best bassist of all time.
and bruce’s signing style and versatility is unmatched by ANY other man.

i like both personally but i have to say iron maiden is better, i mean all there lyrics make sense, all that really makes sense to me in dragonforce are the fast guitars, the lyrics are kinda random and get blocked out by the guitars. Where as with iron maiden i can listen to a song like rainmaker and other great songs and can hear the lyrics, and know what they are talking about. plus my favorite song is fear of the dark by iron maiden!! I can relate to every word on that song, it just owns. like i wouldn’t even have a clue what dragonforce sing about. plus who wants a name like dragonforce, kinda gay if you ask me.

their new album isnt as fast, but at least they record everything live with an energy that new bands, such as dragonfore, dont get because they have studio perfections on all of their music.......besides, the lightning fast legato guitar solos of dave murray, the amazing blues solos of adrian smith, and even the not-as-good but still kick ass solos from janick gers (the three maiden guitarist) OWN dragonforce any day of the week. Besides, eddie could destory and then stuff any dragon and put it over his fireplace X-D
I went to a Dragonforce show not too long ago, and they fucking suck. I mean their albums sound cool, but the vocalist and the guitarists suck live. The only people in the whole band that could actually play were the keyboardist and the drummer.
I watched Iron Maiden live, and they were so much better, they can actually put on a show, and play extremely well.
I used to be a big fan of Dragonforce, until I realized how lame they are in reality.
They wouldn’t suck so bad if they didn’t make albums with songs that they can’t play live.
