i would like to say this, a console only sells as many as there are available, wii are everywhere becuase it uses old tech including old graphics.
i wuld like to say this, its a ps2 slim but has more mass, with a motion sensing feature, nothing more! a ps2 costs like less than $100 a wii costs bloody $250, oneslty the wii isnt a very good deal for what you get
The wii does offer the most of what people actully want out of games and that is gameplay, the PS3 cannot even compare with its sixaxis feature, it was a cheap knockoff and sony just serewed themselves with it. The wii is plain fun and worth getting unlike the PS3, the wii is a must buy for any gamer who knows fun and innovation, I already like my wii more then my 360, it is just plain so much fun.

Next thing to tell you, it maybe old tech but ever hear of somthing called upgrades? No then you are a moron, when somthing needs to be updated they make an upgrade. Even if motion control is old tech then why would sony use it? They are supposed to be all new as you say. I doubt that motion control was used at all in any console for the main type of control before the wii, the eye toy does not count for 2 reasons it is not a controller it is a camera and it also sucked. P.Moore your reasons are bad so think again before you post more crap.

Oh lets see, Nintendo released their new system controller at the TGS 2005 and everyone saw that it had motion sensor control, the PS3’s motion sensor control was released at E3 2006, which came first now the year 2005 or 2006, I guess you think it is 2006 considering you cannot even keep track of time, the wii remote was made first with motion sensor control and the PS3 first revealed its controller at e3 2005 but it had no motion sensor control at the time and at e3 2006 it did. See how it is a cheap knockoff since it was made AFTER the wii remote’s motion sensor.
