Still, I’ve thrown one of my own controllers at my TV pretty hard an nothing has happened, so I just say the people are being bona fide idiots.

That’s weird, because you can pay for a PS3 that sells for such an expensive price yet it has more problems than Wii not only in terms of hardware, but also glitches in the software too.
are you kiding me my PS3 runs smoothly

Nintendo knows it is a problem so they are going to fix it.
And the Wiimote was designed to be swung around like that if the user wanted to.

If it was designed for idiots then why didn’t yours come with a rope and helmet?

Nintendo is not at fault whatsoever.
They are just nice enough to make it stronger for the retards that dont know how to read the instructions on the playing manual.

hahahahaha Rep: 27 Joined: 10 Sep 2005 Posts: 15,050 OFFLINE | ya... keeping in mind the last one only broke if you were an idiot and were swinging as hard as you could and let go, this should do the trick:
i doubt that they will still be breaking. it doesn’t look like much, but it looks like it is also made from a different material, along with being bigger.
now for a couple of official quotes on the matter:
“Of course before the launch of the Wii hardware Nintendo had a number of tests on the durability of everything including the strap,” Iwata told reporters in Japan. But our understanding right now is that even beyond our expectations people are becoming more and more excited playing with the Wii.” - Satoru Iwata
“We are encouraging people to understand that you really don’t have to be so excited but rather you need to understand the control and then you’re going to be the best player. We are looking into the situation to see if there are additional methods to encourage people to kind of calm down so they would never throw away the controller itself.” - Shigeru Miyamoto
