heres a sumarisation of the thing.
The graphics processor (code-named “Hollywood” will use an ATI chipset running at 243Mhz with 3 MB of texture memory. It might also have 32 shader pipelines — 16 fewer than the Xbox 360. However, the Nintendo GPU is rumored to run at 500 million triangles per second (100 million sustained) — roughly equivalent to the Xbox 360. It will also be able to handle 50 billion shader operations per second, which is about the same as the 360 as well.
i find this impressive becuase the wii is quieter and smaller than the 360, also more power eficient.
God, I feel like I’m being mean to the Wii, but if thats so, then why does Call of Duty 3 look fairly bad on the Wii, couldn’t it be close to the same?
Because it’s focused more on gameplay.
And I got the video to work.
Although I gotta say, the video is somewhat propoganda.
ha lol. All you have to do is include the HD-DVD, and MS will be losing just as much money as Sony, AND it’ll cost the same.

just go to www.howstuffworks.com or something like that, search for wii, and u will get a very detail description of the wii and how it works, and the wii has graphical power strong enough to compete with the 360, does this mean we can see games like gears of war on the Wii??? i think so

MicroSoft National Army Leader and top General Red Delta.
The 360 has a GPU that is not only clocked higher, it also has a separated section designed to handle certain effects such as FSAA and AF without diverting from the main processor. Not only that, it also has more pipelines and a special pipeline architecture that makes it churn out far better pixel shading.
Another thing people seem to forget is features. The Wii cannot do all the same things as the 360 (things such as HDR). It could simulate them (the PS2 simulated motion blur and HDR in Shadow of the Colossus) but it will be much harder to do and be far less impressive.
ANOTHER THING! Does the Wii have a tri-core processor, each clocked at 3.2GHz with a massive front-side-bus? Is the RAM as large and fast? NO!
Whoever wrote that howstuffworks is retarded. Sure, the 360 is made to do HD, but it was made to handle HD and push the graphics even further. N00bs...
If the Cell can be worked out the way it was planned...Then the Wii would be fucked hard...
I can say that the Wii could eventually look on the level of some 360 games...Maybe...And by the time it does, the 360 will look very uber.
of course it will, but gears of war graphics will satisfie me even if it isnt in HD, and finally someone said something about shadow of the colosus (crys) if u looked at shadow of the colosus in wide screen and progressive scan turned on the people playing it would think its a next gen game (if theres no ps2 in front of it or anything showing its a ps2) the textures can be fuzzy in some landscapes but have u seen how detailed the mask on the nameless boy can be! ive zoomed up super close to his mask(something that u win) and the detail is as good if not better than the cheifs helmet in halo 3. u literly have to see the detail to beleive it, if those kinds of graphics can be performed on the ps2 imagine the ps3(shits himself) wii would be impressive too but im still pissed off it doesnt have a dvd player

Um...No...
Shadow of the Colossus is a technical prowess, yes, but that’s only because it simulates HDR and motion blur, and it rapes animation-wise. Aside from that, it looks ugly. The textures are trash (the guy looks good), there is mondo clippage, the game has a horribly low FPS at all times, the world is empty, and I can see the damn texture map edges (I forgot the technical name). Oh, and Halo 3’s visor alone is so damn awesome, that its mere mention voids everything you said.
u havnt seen the mask have u??? the framerates arnt low! infact alot of the time when i played it, it was playing in either 30 fps or 60 fps, and if u watched the making of the game included on the disc u would understand its art, they wanted to make a sceneless atmosphere or something, and the temple itself has its own story, its not a boring world at all, infact when you go to fight one of the colosi in the big stadium before you go inside u find urself looking at this wonderful scenery, there is no other game like it at all.
