WOOT Oblivion being ported to PS3!
Anyway arent you the same person who told people of for saying the wii has under par graphics?
Yea, Oblivions being Ported, it will look the exact same, but will take way longer to load.
u shuld investigate first, depending on how you use blu ray you can make levels load faster, also u may also be able to install the game onto ur 60 gb hard drive to improve loading speed, and also the ps3 version has an extra 20 hour quest on the disc(posibly exclusive, also the ps3 does have slightly better graphics, the distance detail differnce in the distance is fixed by smoothing out where the grass apears in the distance, also the textures are rendered differently giving a more realistic look. | |

“True, very true, but Bethesda did not take this advantage, the loading times on the ps3 will be a bit longer, but it is worth it for the game itself."
also u may also be able to install the game onto ur 60 gb hard drive to improve loading speed,
“I don’t know if you can do that or not, but if anything this would slow it down for it would have to extract data from two seperate componets instead of one, i may be wrong."
and also the ps3 version has an extra 20 hour quest on the disc
“Yeah, the Knights of the Nines quest, the 360/ps3/and pc are all getting it, it’s just that the ps3 is getting it with the game."
(posibly exclusive,
“No, as i said above."
also the ps3 does have slightly better graphics,
“Graphics wise for Oblivion, i see no difference, i don’t think they cared about improving the graphics, Bethesda said the graphics were fine where they were at, so no, the graphics may be altered, but no better or worse."
the distance detail differnce in the distance is fixed by smoothing out where the grass apears in the distance,
“That is true, Bethesda wanted to put this in the 360 version, but they had to launch it early, they did not have enough time to get it on the 360 version, but now, a couple of months later, they got it in, just in time for the ps3."
also the textures are rendered differently giving a more realistic look.
“They are slightly different, but no, as i said, you WILL NOT see any difference in the textures unless you do a side by side photo of each version, even then they don’t seem that much different."
“Just my 2 cents." | |

In real life things aren’t as bright and light-filled as these games now portray. Less lighting would be much appreciated. --- Club: Ramunematt Is A Fucking Dumbass

But you are indeed correct, as you may or may not know, the 360 has a more powerful CPU, while the ps3 has a more powerful GPU.
Because of this, each console is better at one thing then the other.
Because of the 360’s CPU, it can have better and sharper lighting.
The xbox 360 can handle HDR (Highly Detailed Resolution) lighting better then the ps3 can.
But the ps3’s GPU allows for more details in objects then the 360.
It’s not a bad trade-off, personally i think it gives each console it’s own style if you get what i’m saying.
So you may notice worse lighting... but more detailed faces in the ps3 version, but the exact opposite in the 360 version.
Any comments? | |

They try to have more realistic graphics then they go off and cover it all with too much lighting. What happens? You get an unrealistic looking game with the freaking bright lights in your eyes. --- Club: Ramunematt Is A Fucking Dumbass

I am saying they are overdoing all the lighting effects. They need lighting effects but they’re using them way too much. --- Club: Ramunematt Is A Fucking Dumbass
