The Silver Surfer would have a great advantage against Superman, given the fact that he can time travel and see into the future thus knowing Supermans moves in advane. Plus the Silver Surfer is much faster than Superman and could deliver an incredible hypers-space speed hit that could possibly kill both of them on impact, if you think about it.

If Superman goes berserk, lets go, takes a sundip, and fights dirty he wins definitely. If Superman breaks Surfer’s surfboard then he wins even easily. these guys can practically counter each other’s moves its 50/50. Superman does have more combat skills. I wonder would it be awesome if Superman is put into the Fantastic Four movie Rise of the Silver Surfer as the Fantastic Four’s guest member to help save the world. In my opinion power wise in the movie Surfer could obliterate all the Fantastic Four members in five minutes.

The silver Surfer without his surf board is almost human , and superman doesnt need no board or anything to give him powers or support him. #1 SS can absorb ANY and ALL energy. When he fought Green Lantern, not only did he absorb all of Kyle’s ring power, but he absorbed all of the LANTERN CORPS’s power through Parallax.
#2 Surfer can boost any and all of his abilities to nearly infinite levels due to absorbtion of the Power Cosmic. And YES, that includes his strength.
#3 The Thing has NEVER knocked out a full powered SS. Get your facts straight.
#4 SS can transmute energy and matter, which means that if he wanted too, he could turn Superman’s own heart into kryptonite.
#5 SS is far faster and more agile than Superman, and his board is indestructible.
#6 SS is invulnerable to all forms of heat & cold, so while Superman’s heat vision and cold breath (his only distance weapons) wouldn’t even itch SS, the Suffer could blow Supes' skin off with his cosmic blasts (which again, if he wanted too could be made of pure kryptonite radiation).
#7 SS has Cosmic awareness, and would immediately know how all of Superman’s powers work and all of his weaknesses (to kryptonite, magic, etc.)
Bottom Line? Superman would be toast. PERIOD.

Superman is immune to the surfers cosmic powers.In fact he absorbs cosmic powers the sun hello. The only thing that can affect him is kryptonite and magic. the surfer would have to run away because if he tried to attack in any way it just wouldn’t work.
Johnmark your actually wrong first of all silver surfer can move at light speed and uses cosmic eneergy no way on erth can that slow ass rock thing do anything he couldnt even knock vondoom off the board.
Superman could win. He is just as strong as Surfer, and as fast. He has the strength to move 30,000 earths. Once Superman from earth 1 hit Superman from earth two, and shattered the barrier of space and time.
Superman has also extinguished a star and destroyed an entire solar system by sneezing, and held a miniature version of a black hole in the palm of his hand. This is why Superman’s molecules won’t be altered by surfer. If Superman’s body can handle a black hole, nothing is going to alter him.
