Click on the link. If there is nothing there, you have no new private messages.
There is a new tab at the top of the page labeled “PM” and should you click on, you will be transfered to all private messages relating to yourself.

Maximum avatar size is now 25kb (instead of 15kb as it used to be).
Moderators can now view PMs sent to regular members (provided they get the particular id/url of the PM).
Implemented full RSS feeds support (look for the rss subscribe button if you are using a modern browser). I am contemplating completely trashing the current email topic-subscription system: people can subscribe the RSS for a particular topic now...
