Racial tension is almost non-existant in our school, and we possibly have a much larger variety of people. Primarily whites, Asian, as well as large numbers of East Indian people.
I know a girl who’s a quarter Asian, and we don’t label her because of that.

21 - I like something a friend of mine says. Culture is what you make it. Only you can say what and who you are (within reason) - no one else has a right to do that.
And I agree with you - being part of an ethnicity doesn’t make that part of your ethnicity any less valid than someone who is “full-blood” (if such people even truly exist).
I also like a story I read somewhere where someone said they were “part Native”. A Native woman said to this guy “which part of you is Native? Your eye? Your foot? Your right ear?" Don’t know if it’s a true story or not, but I like it
