When a member of the party falls another member can cast a Phoenix down and revive the fallen member. You’re thinking of... damn what was it... Dirge of Cerberus, you cast it and it will revive you when you die. It’s the only game that the role of the Phoenix Down was changed.
How long has it been since you played a traditional FF game?

The Materia Final Attack allows the equipped person to cast the combined materia one time for every star level that materia is mastered at when their HP hits zero.
If you combine a mastered Final Attack with a mastered revive it will allow the user to cast revive on himself when his HP hits 0 up to 5 times. That means that Squall would have to deplete Cloud’s HP to zero 6 times to win the fight. Cloud only has to deplete Squall’s HP to zero once, twice if Phoenix activates, but that’s only about a 10 percent chance of happening.

(SO THAT’S WHY I AM ALWAYS SEEING THREADS STATES THAT “CLOUD WINS” IN SOME WEBSITE) i agree with that, cloud would win over squall! I thought that it is based on the game mechanics sorry about that! hey cid, I have actually watch FF advent children and cloud is cool there! i feel a little sad because I really admire squall but i also admire cloud! it’s like 10/10 for squall and 9.9/10 for cloud. HEY DOES ANY BODY HERE WATCHED THE FF7 LAST ORDER?
