Zoot Guest | If GH2 or any future GH games were released on the Wii i highly doubt that the guitar controller will be wireless since the 360 version of GH2 has a wired controller.

all-knowing Guest | actually they said it’d be for the 3 MAJOR systems...Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3. besides if they made it for the Wii, you could use 1, 2 ,d-pad up and a for the frets of the guitar. the Z button on the nunchuk could be used to strum the guitar, too.

Napcom Guest | The idea of being able to upload your own songs onto Guitar Hero 3, have the system automatically format hit detections, notes, proper chords, recognize guitars, and then being able to play them freely is possibly the stupidest thing I’ve heard of, and I’m amazed at how many people are considering this to be true. I take it not too many of you have experience with sound mixing or composition? You can’t just upload whatever song you want and then play it like any other song on the game. Think about this for a few seconds people. The process the developers have to go through just to put one song on GH is an ordeal. The GH team rerecorded and reformated the songs so they could separate lyrics with music and therefore, program them. While you’re playing a song you’re not playing one music layer (or file if you will), you’re actually playing about 2 or 3. One is vocals, the other is guitars. Notice how if you don’t play on your controller-guitar there are no guitar notes, yet the singer continues? That’s because you’re not activating the guitar layer. Do you honestly believe a computer will be able to perfectly separate and pull the guitars off a song while leaving the vocals there, nice and crisp with great sound quality? Friggen no! Or what about the whammy? How do you expect to whammy just the guitars? Placing a “whammy filter” on the average music file you put on the game will cause the vocals, the drums, everything to vibrato, not just the guitars. Think about this guys, c’mon, the software can’t detect a whole note as it plays over a melody guitar playing quarters or something like that, and then identify it as two seprate rifts. I can go on and on but I get the feeling this is just going over most of your guys' heads. Trust me, this concept is absolute bull. The only way possible is if they had exceptional guitar-recognization software to place hit notes on main streams. But all you’ll be doing is following along with the song, not actually controlling the sound, meaning, if you stop playing, the guitars still play, and no whammy.

LiLRamosClan Guest | I have a question and a couple of comments for you. Why is it that GH3 will only be made for the PS3 and the XBox 360? The original GH was made for the PS2 and many PS2 owners have bought them games, including myself. I find it VERY unfair that you are not going to be making GH3 for the PS2!! Why? Because I do not think it is fair for you to more or less TELL me that I HAVE to buy a PS3 or a XBox 360 in order to keep playing a game that my children and I both enjoy. We spent $200.00 on the PS2 and do not think that it is right for you to try to make it so that we have to spend another $600.00 to get a game system that we don’t really need because my PS2 works perfectly fine. Your company would make ALOT more money on GH3 if you would make it possible to be played on the PS2 as game systems as well for the simple fact that many people who cannot afford the newer systems. We are not worried about being able to download any extra music to the game, we are completely satisfied with the music that comes on the game itself. Seriously, not all of us are rich, and not all of us can afford to buy an entirely new game system in order to play a game that will cost us close to $100.00 to buy anyways.

The Spartan with the Golden Gun Guest | I think that the guy is tellin the truth. It is possible to map the songs from your hardrive, if you have the right program...which Red Octane does have.
