zelda tp vs shadow of the colosus

graphics: even tho zelda does have prety water i have to give this to shadow of the colosus simply becuase it has motion blur, distance blur, sun glar, way sharper textures that in some areas are as good as next gen if not better, way better animation.

story: zelda becuase its longer and more in depth while shadow of the colosus has a suttle style with a major twist but the ending is vage like the hole game so it leaves you to think later.

gameplay: zelda has fun fast moves and lots of quizs and action missions to do.

length: zelda obviously

ending: definatly shadow of the colosus because of its twist and suttleties which are so perfectly put together. zelda seemed more of the same old ending you find in lots of movies “the enemy is dead, everyones happy and moving on”

world: shadow of the colosus some how manages to even make you joyful when you see a tree in the middle of know where which is really amazing.

starting: the start of zelda seemed kinda boring to me and its a chore to go through again if yourve already finished the game. shadow of the colosus gets you straight into the main part of the game.

music: zelda had some pretty nice music that i really loved but i thought they didnt use their selection in the right places, shadow of the colosus has a small lybrary of music but it really gets you in the mood for whats happening.


overal i think shadow of the colosus is a better game than zelda if you havnt played zelda games before but i didnt play ico before which is connected to shadow of the colosus so it makes it fair.

the reason why i chose these 2 games is that they are made by nintendo(zelda) and sony(shadow of the colosus).
they both were aiming for nice graphics and they both have challenges. if i can find some screens i can show that the game really is quite similar in a way.

ok ive found somes pictures of the guys face but i couldnt find one of the nameless hero guy upclose very well. but ive got one and you can clearly see its better(all pictures of shadow of the colosus is performed in real time the only exclusion is the resolution but that just makes the game look worse

I heard SotC wasn’t that good...and it basically involved riding your horse for a long time to the colossus, nothing in between, and killing in. Lather rinse repeat...

weeman its a good game, becuase its suttle it may seem a bit empty with nothing to do but one of the main chalenges of the game is just trying to find the colosi, and trust me its no easy task

'Motion bur' is a cheap tactic and does not mean it has good graphics.

It doesn’t remove bad polys(not jaggies, fool). It just makes em blurry...

the motion blur on the game is really quite good you shuld play it on ur tv

But they’re still there. And when things are blurred, it harder to see. And they can’t have motion blur all the time. If they guy is just standing there and it’s blurry...well...that makes no sense...
