I wasn’t as big of a fan of Armageddon due to the free-form fatalities, they just weren’t Mortal Kombat. Where were the Animalities, Brutalities, Babialities, Sexalities, and Friendships at?
But I must admit, the overall control scheme has definitely got me interested. I will probably be adding this game to my collection kome April.
1st they take the F out of fatality and now the make cheap ass controls so new wannabes can play. WTF is up with that shit?! MK shouldn’t be catering to the people that can’t play!

You do realize that if you would watch the video for one moment that Ed Boon said that the GC and Classic controllers will work with the game too for factors like if the game is just too easy with the wii-remote or if it does not work as you would want it too.
Also Cid I have heard of Animalitits, buratlities, and babieaties but what are sexalitxes and what game did they occur in?

The MK Trilogy.

Pressing countless buttons in perfect sequence and timing isn’t my idea of a fighting game.
That’s the definition of a fighting game. If pulling off combos is to hard for you then you need to find a different game or make your own special series for people that can’t play, not ruin a perfectly good one.

And vs.? That’s an unfair advantage there, ruining the balance of the game.

Next it also depends on the player keep in mind there are still many idiots who cannot even operate a wii-remote the right way that is still why there are injures going around. The wii remote may work with it, it may not you just have to wait and see try out both control schemes with the GC controller and the wii-remote to see which one is better. You can already tell that the GC setting can work fine since it worked fine with Deception and the wii-remote is new and so if every game genere was to stay in it has to take on new playing styles. The wii can be good for fighting games but it totally depends on what they make each function do. As far as I can tell the MKA game on the wii may work just fine.
Check out the video Ed Boon shows you how the special moves are done, very easy with the remote and what is better is that if you do not like it you can always go to using a GC controller. The game relases in March.
There is no way MK is gonna have a 'sword swinging feel' because the camera is not like Zelda and cannot be like Zelda’s because it is a fighting game. If anything they need to make Oblivion for the Wii to get that 'sword swinging fee'.
Idiots not being able to use the Wiimote safely has nothing to do with this.
The specials being done very easy with the Wii remote is BAD. It’s not supposed to be easy. It is supposed to be HARD.
Being able to pull off random fatalities easily by pressing buttons in any order screwed it up because it was easy.

You’ve never even played the game or seen the controls. You have no info to judge upon. Wait until reviews are controls outline or simply you playing it before taking judgement.
I think Soul Calibur would have been a better choice on the Wii than MK because Soul Calibur’s combos revolve around circling the analog stick, which would be great with the Wii remote.
MK on the other hand requires more precision and sudden button smashes and with the analog stick in 8 ways. That won’t do so well with the Wiimote.

The Wiimote will make them simpler, and simple is good.
Hard is bad, no one wants a game that is hard, they want a game that is challenging. A long string of combos is challenging. Zelda is not hard, it is challenging, but how you play could not be simpler.

i think it would be sweet if the more basic combos were pretty easy, but there were harder combo’s that were really tough to pull off, even with the wii mote, so that in order to become truly good at the game, you had to memories complicated attacks rather then just have everything simple. that way, they can make it easier to get into, but still hard to master.
