Probably would’ve happened anyway. Sony was demanding full and exclusive rights to the attachment, would not have been much of a benefit.
Supposedly as well, the machine was trash. And it wasn’t a mistake, because it did usher in new levels of competition and allowed Nintendo to keep from becoming arrogant.
N64 or PS1. One had Ogre Battle 64, one had Vagrant Story...Arg...

Well, as far as game selection is concerned the N64 was probably superior. But the PS1 still had plenty of RPGs which I loves.
