Next, alot of Kingdom Hearts charm comes from the amalgamation of the two big greats..Disney and Squaresoft.
To relay get the most of Kingdom Hearts, you realy need to be a huge Disney or FF fan or both..then the COOL factor realy comes in.
Now i loved Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2. It realy is a ground breaking Original concept and for that it deserves merit. Zelda is the same old same old. better graphics and better gameplay and is a wicked game in its own right, but it realy does lack originality.
My vote is for Kingdom Hearts, simply cause it gives people something new...a different side to the characters we all know and love. 
I liked KH1 better. KH2 for me had lost the charm. I remember that I played KH1 for hours on end because it was fun. KH2, I enjoyed it a lot at first, but after the first day the novelty wore off and I realized I missed the charm from the first one. I ended up playing all the way through. through for the sake of beating it.
AS for Zelda being “same old same old”, 'If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.' I personally love the way Zelda games play. THat’s what draws me to the series. If they redid the gameplay style, I really don’t think I’d like it. I play the new games and enjoy the story, all to the same old gameplay.
Also, if the gameplay style stays the same, it’s easier for those that haven’t played since OoT to pick it back up again. I say there’s nothing wrong with sticking with what you know works.

That’s all 3 Kingdom Hearts games together including the hand held. And it only sold that well because it had the Disney (aka most recognizable company in the world) logo on it.
