One thing before i start. Since most normal nitemares/dreams dont last long enough to walk arounf the town, and do shopping and fly a kite and stuff, i wonder how so many people say they killed so many people who are all more likely to play basketball with the pope, than all be seen in close proximity of each other.
he he - im only jokin
anyway....
As a child, i had one of walking back home at night, and getting chased by a motorcycle gang of monstery things - about eight of them, all in leather and chains and dirty looking, alittle like the creatures on the 'Predator' films. I managed to get back to the house, and they crashed through the door after me, and tried to run me over against the wall once inside. Actually they did crush me against the wall and i was screeming, but i woke up then.
Another was being hunted by a small figure in my apartment (i live alone), and it was in the shadows, following me.
Also, the floor lifing up, like tarmac in an earquake, splitting and crumbling, and glass breaking all around me, but i was in a filed.
And a dog (huge thing, black) was chasing me down the street, and pulled me to bits.
Scariest ever for me, was about a toy skeleton, with an evil grin. Its only short, but i wll put in the FAN FICTION section instead, cos as i wrote it here, and realised it sounded like a small story, hope that’s OK with you all. i think it got too long to be read here.
Had many many others over the years, but none have been as scarey as my real-life halucinations (or ghosts?), or a mixture of both 
Way more scarey than any dreams, honestly.

So, the other 2 dudes had done their stuff, as had I; but the last dude was totally freaked out. He was gonna jump into the water. Clear water. 5 feet deep. So, I volunteered to jump with him. And I did, when we hit the water, he vanished. There was a... thing swimming around, like, a dead body. A zombie or disembodied spirit. Anyway, the creature was swirling around, and I fascinatedly watched it for about 2 seconds, when this crazy scary monster thing got right up in my face and screeched.
When I woke up, I sat still for around 30 seconds, scared out of my mind. And then I decided, “Its a dream, and dreams aren’t real." So I hopped outta bed and took a shower.
Oddly enough, prior to this; whenever I had a dream with scary stuff in it, I always had a gun to kill it/them with.

Ima sexy bitch! Rep: 38 Joined: 28 Dec 2006 Posts: 18,188 | The thing about Dreams/Nightmares is...They are based on the individuals own beliefs, fears, hopes ect.
Therefore, what one person finds scary or horrible is not neccisarily what another would find Nightmarish.
If some was scared of spiders, they may have a nightmare about 1000’s of spiders. Someone who was Aquaphobic(scared of water) might have a dream about taking a bath or swimming and be horrified.
Anyhow, its all relaitve to he individual.
Here is one reoccuring nightmare I had for a while.
I drempt that Death wanted me to die. I was scared of taking a bath cause I would fall asleep and drown or I would slip and hit my head and drown and everytime I would wash it would make my head go dizzy, my eyes went blind, my face went numb and I would go ice cold. Surviving the bath, I would get dressed and Expect there to be some spider or snake to bite me and I would die.
Surviving that, i would have to take my Athsme meds and i was certain someone had sliped some arsenic or other deadly poison in my meds. I drempt of enjoying my food by i would choke on it and almost die cause it had been poisoned or I would have a allergic reaction. I would have trouble breathing all the time and the Athsma medication wouldn’t work, cause it wasn’t athsma..
Every second i would wish I would wake up. I couldn’t go outside cause I was sure I was going to die from suffacation. I could run cause I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t eat without choking, I couldn’t go outside cause something was waiting out there for me, I couldn’t trust my family cause they were in on it, I couldn’t exersise cause i would have a heart attack. In short, I was so Petrified for the duration that i couldn’t do anything and i got realy fat. I REALY WISHED I WOULD WAKE UP..BUT I COULDN’T

CAUSE IO WASN’T DREAMING.
I WAS AWAKE AND I HAD A CHRONIC ANXIETY DISORDER.
That is a real nightmare. for 3 years this went on, i had no control. THAT IS THE REAL NIGHTMARE. ONE DAY NORMAL..THE NEXT...SOMETHING COMPLETLY DIFFERENT..AND I HAD NO CHOICE..
SOMETIMES LIFE IS MORE SCARY THEN ANY DREAM, BECAUSE IN DREAMS YOU WAKE UP..IN LIFE.....YOU CANT SLEEP!
