I hate to burst your bubble but Square hasn’t officially announced a Remake and all we have to go on is the PS3 tech demo and Tetsuya Nomura saying he’d enjoy doing it.

Dirge is based completely around Vincent Valentine and isn’t all that great. It’s a Third Person Shooter instead of an RPG.

You could get a PC version or buy a game off Ebay.
