This is hypocritical. If you actually look at sales of games and gaming lately the old way has been bringing down the industry for years. You all know it and sales show it that the DS has put a new plus into gaming. It’s the damn truth. It’s simply ignorant, hypocritical, and misinformed to say going away from something that was already failing is going to bring it down furthere especially when the market has proved that theory wrong.
My point is, Nintendo started targeting more kids towards the end of GC, and it was killing the GC. Look at preference of game from 2003 to 2005. Nintendo was failing so they try to go in another direction and target little kids. This fed into the Wii, when Nintendo promised all these big things for their true audience we all got excited. Now in my opinion, the Wii is a cheap, gimmicky console aimed towards the 7-12 year old age group, since Sony and MS have not tapped into that market. It is steering their true gamers away, i’m living proof, as well as many of my friends. I don’t even touch my Wii.
Nintendo is targeting the kids as a company. What are you talking about. Nintendo makes games for people not kids, not adults, but people or everyone. That’s why titles like Mario can sale as much as they do. Some of their titles will be for the upper side of age and some will be the lower side but in general they make it for everyone. So how did they target kids with the Gamecube. That’s nonsense. The GC in apsolutely no way was kiddy by reasons of that of Nintendo yet only put off that way due to lack of developer support in the areas that would be seen that way. You can’t blame Nintendo for something that’s not their fault. That’s like blaming Bungie for making such a great online game that is shut out competition from the rest in the online world. That’s not their fault it’s the devs fault they couldn’t make a better game but only tried to copy it.
Geez I’m straightforward tonight. Oh guess that’s what happened when you catch me pissed haha. Now that I told people that they’ll probably use it against me in desperations. Many have done it before cough Xtrm cough haha. Jk or am I.
But as much as I like to think that someone is going to come back with either a response on how much of an ass I was in that post or how wrong I am and stuff like that but I await this marvelous moment haha.
I suppose. Is it really all worth it. *ponders* yea it really is haha. Ah I should really go back to what I used to do haha. Stop caring whether people hate me off of what I post haha. Stop trying to make everyone happy. If I don’t agree with you and hate you for your bullshit then I’m going to say it and not care. Think I’ll bring that part back to this forum. Liven it up a little. I mean most people hate me anyways from taht time period left over might as well start a new generation haha.

Of course it’s worth it. Watching them struggle to spit something out even remotely relevant or non-contradictory is a reward in itself.

It’s aiming MORE towards kids, not as a whole. GC was not a kiddy system, but the brunt of GAMES were starting to aim towards a very young age group and forgot about it’s die hards for that last year and a half. You’re getting too much into what i’am not talking about and you think i’m saying it’s an “all around kiddy system”, i’m just saying it is doing less for it’s hardcore fans.
We debate this stuff everyday at work. I’ve been with Nintendo for ages, i see where it is going, and that is towards a very young age group(for the most part)mainly because it knows it wants no piece of MS and Sony.
Yea pretty much. Desperation sometimes is quite hilarious. But I like both Hiroshama and usually Nerevar haha. Well now they are going to hate me now so whatev.
Why do you think it went from Revolutiuon to Wii? cause the name would scare off kids. The teens and older gamers loved it, but it wasn’t kid friendly name.

Just releasing Zelda is big enough to satisfy the hardcore fans. Hell I mean look what that did for the Wii launch. Then after that got the Super Mario Galaxy and SSBB coming right straight from Nintendo. Then new IP’s in Disaster and Project Hammer. Nintendo is definetly supporting the casual, the young, and the hardcore.

No, i don’t hate you. You’re a hardcore, but sometimes we need to touch different angles.

Once again wrong. 2 reasons why. One Revolution is a really long name and wouldn’t keep it short and sweet. Secondly Revolution as a word is impossible to say in the Japanese language thuse form that they decided to pick a wordly name. Plus Revolution was only a codename to begin with. It was never going to stay that. YOu have no arguement right off the back.

Oh well if we keep this up your going to find a way to hate me. Most people do. I’m used to it I guess.
