That 360 came out November.

From GI:

“Microsoft has been quietly rolling out a revised 360 hard drive that some users say is quieter and loads data faster. The drives, manufactured by BenQ-LiteOn-Phillips, replace the previous versions, which were manufactured by Toshiba and Hitachi. The new drives entered production lines in November 2006. Of course, there’s still that fan noise, but let’s take things one step at a time."

I bought mine after X-mas.

When was yours made?

If your hard-drive is silent or near silent and it’s only the fan that makes all the noise then it probably is.

Check the back of your 360. If there is no date then they tell by the number.

It doesn’t really matter anyways. You’ll end up buying a new one sooner or later or if you decide to stay with your 20 gig memory problems it doesn’t change much. Only the nerds are crazy about their 360 being 'quieter' and loading a second faster.
