A couple days ago I sent Bjarne an e-mail concerning the matter at hand. It said this;

Bjarne, I have an idea, it’s been suggested before, but now there is more need of such a thing as there was when the idea was first proposed. There are at least 15 versus threads that are active in the games section, and they were all made within the past few weeks.

The idea is to Create a sub-forum and move the versis topics to that sub-forum. The games section would look more appealing to gamers because of it, right now if a person looked at the first page they might get the impression that we’re all nerds who like to argue over which character is better, when in fact we’re nerds who like to argue about which console is better. (lol)

The idea should be possible to do, I’ve seen many a forum that have a sub-forum on them. The idea would be the same as creating a normal forum, except you’d put the link to the forum in the games section instead of on the main page. I think in the end it would be a great idea overall, it will help keep the games section free of topics that clutter the front page and also gives way to an entirely new section that could help in attracting more people to the site.

I’d be very grateful as I’m sure a lot of other members will as well. I’m sure I’m not the only person who grows weary of seeing a lot of “somebody vs somebody” topics popping up.

However three days later and the PM hasn’t even been read.

Bjarne’s not intrested in anything unless it’s to do with his rules
and banning people.

Wow, harsh much are we? Bjarne probably a very busy person and doesn’t have as much time as we do. To me honest I’m not even sure if he’s had the chance to even check codec much recently, he usually posts something, but I’ve not seen anything in a while.

It doesn’t have to be limited to Games either, there’s probably some debates in the off topic about Christianity and whatnot that could possibly go there too. (tho I imagine everyone has that idea already)

I was thinking more along the lines, although dated, of those Christianity vs Atheism I believe I remember back then...things like that may come up...
Anyhoo, just saying I don’t think it should be limited to games, but just my opinion.
