Hardest game to beat when set on the hardest difficulty?

I say Doom 3, hella awesome game but... damn, it can get pretty hard sometimes.

i played it, can be hard, but in Doom 3 i had to fight 4 hellknights with my friggan fists, super hard.

Or when i had to fight the Gatekeeper to hell at the end, super-duper hard!

I’m not saying Doom 3 is easy by any means. All I’m getting at is NG: Black is critically acclaimed for it’s ridiculous difficulty on Master Ninja. Look at any review, they all say it. It’s just known. It made that name for itself for a reason.

I don’t know, Half Life 2 (PC version) got pretty hairy nearing the last couple levels. I couldn’t do it. I’ll admit, I had to use the console cheat to finish the game and I had it normal difficulty while I’ve beat Doom 3 no sweat (just took a little time).

Half-Life 2 is relatively easy, but yeah, i know what you’r talking about, it can get pretty hard.

I’ve never played it, but apparently F-Zero GX for the Gamecube will have you breaking controllers from it’s difficulty.

Half-life 2 on Hard- No Challenge

Halo 2 Legendary- Hard at first but becomes a walk in the park afterwards.

Metroid Prime 1 Hard mode - Hard only because the enemies are twice as argessive, fast, and harder to kill.

Metroid Prime 2 Hard mode - Hard as well at first expect this one had very argressive on the bosses, they would never let up on you no matter what and never even give you a chance to fight back but it soon became second nature.

FEAR Hard mode- Puzzling a first but becomes second nature as well since you always have the choice on when you can use medical packs.

Games that can be hard to beat? Well.......

1. Timesplitters 2- The game on hard mode is insane in the later levels, you can only take about 1 to 3 hits max no matter what and you have the longest and most difficult missions. You get hardly any weaponry and you are severly outnumbered. There are no cheats to ever help you in this case.

2. Quake 4, even on normal mode it takes a while but the true hardness is from the bosses in the game. I recently beat the hardest difficulty using no cheats but it took what seemed like forever.

3. UT2004- Beating the single player mode on the godlike setting without cheating. The godlike setting is insane and you have only a 4% chance of ever winning against a single opponent. I am still trying it on skilled and it is still pretty hard.

4. SSBM- Beating the adventure mode on very hard with a light character like Kirby without loosing a single life.

5. First Zelda- Beat the game without ever picking up the sword.

Heck this list can go on..

God Mode isn’t really all that hard. I got a good length the first time I played (I haven’t played that game in a while, I should). The only thing really is the enemies can take more damage.

DooM 3 on Nightmare.

Heck, any of the DooMs on Nightmare. It even say “Are you sure? This difficulty isn’t even remotely fair”

Especially Final DooM: Plutonia on Go 2 It. That’s hard even on ITYTD...
