You know you didn’t know for sure, but you went ahead said it anyways out of desperation. For your info, Wii Virtual Console games are in fact adjusted for 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and so are backwards compatible Xbox games (not to mention Xbox games are upscaled to 720p. Hell, some are even formatted for 720p).

Virtual consoles games were updated while old playstation discs weren’t.
