But in the last 24 hours, I think LOTRO has become my favourite
Running it with a gig of ram and in 64 bit splendor has something to do with it, but the game itself kicks ass. Search out LOTRO beta to try to sign up, it’s on until atleast march 30, likely longer
feels like LOTR, looks like it, and makes you feel important to the game

*sigh* ok I’ll explain for the little kids *pats you on the head*
when you talk to someone about a task, “saving the old lady’s farm from wolves” they mention your previous deeds {making it more personal and direct}, and beg you to help. you go to the farm and have to kill {say 6} wolves. now there are 20 other people doing the same mission, but you are treated like the main character
there are many reasons why it’s a great MMO, but having the single player feel, while playing on a server of 15,000 people is impressive
Eve Online is the only other MMO with the same level of game depth

I played dnd online and after i made the mistake of subscribing, i realized a bit too late how bad it sucked. Star Wars galaxies was fun too till they patched it one day and made my char basically useless. I hope LOTR online rocks. Im in the mood for a good mmorpg
