no problem, I had it back in it’s first incarnation years ago, and it was incredibly fun, so I thought I’d see if it was still around and bingo

I think I’ll stick to mapmaking in my favorite games.

But, you could probably get a development platform for Direct3D somewhere. Or do a full conversion mod.

Then again, both are rough to learn.

That RPG program James showed is cool though. I’ve used it, but I was just too lazy to work with it. To really get into it you probably need to know some programming basics.

I’ll bet all those programs require some degree of intelligence, so I’ll stay away from them. haha

Wait, aren’t you really smart? So smart you have to be home schooled? Or am I wrong?

Anyways, I think Game Maker is a good program. It’s simple to use and some decent games can be made with it.

Gamemaker requires almost none. It’s nearly all drag and drop grin

if your a good drawer then it’s as detailed as you want. Or is that what you meant? It might take a bit of trial and error to make it work, but I taught myself how to use it.

Making a simple space shooter is a good place to start.

Hmmm, I guess I’m a decent artist. I’ll give it a try at some point. Thanks for the recommendations.

I’m a horrible drawer so I just browse for sprites I can use on the internet and edit them a bit.

The program I want to is Flash Pro. You can make games with that with much better quailty, but that comes at a price of complexity, and an acutall price to buy.

I would love to transform that RP I was talking about on the first page into a 2-D early FF style game, it would be so freaking awesome.
