In no way or form am I trying to promote racial comments, I am saying that people should be trusted and respected by the the website to say what we want to say, without the use of censoring post’s.

It is preventing people of other races, cultures, religions, orientations, etc. from being harrassed on the site. I didn’t see the specific remarks you made, so I can’t judge about what you said.
I’m sure you’ve heard this analogy before but:

When I ran a free forum on Invison Free, they gave me the option to censor out certain words with other things, for example... you can replace the word Ni**** with the words Moderated for Racism (in bold letters) so that people will know what happened and so that the mods don’t have to be there.

Look, don’t tell me how we do things in the military. In there, we were green. It didn’t matter wheather you were Asain, Black, White, Jewish, Native, or fucking purple. Green meant that we were soldiers, we took ouths and were ready to give our lives for our country, to protect it at all cost, even if it meant against our own government, we were patriots. Here, in this civilian life, I am cought in the bounderies of race. I really don’t care about racial issues, it never effected me.
On this web site, we are just people. Not black, not white, not anything. We are simpley names with little pictures under them. As far as I know, there isn’t one black person here besides myself. I know that Killa is asain, and everyone else is white. So there isn’t much here to offend.
What got to me, was the fact that people are changing my post’s. That is what pissed me off. So please, if I ever sayt anything bad again, and a nun will have to hit me with a meter stick, then PM me.

thats pretty much what i was going to say. racism is screwed up. you don’t know who you are offending, so its better not to run the risk.
oh, and, i used the military example becouse it was seeming like we were speaking different languages. sorry if you took that offensively...

But if you show him that it doesn’t affect you, and that you don’t care, then he won’t say it. I said it because I was trying to put a little humor or start a conversaiton with another member.

The problem is, Savage, that not everybody is built tough, and not everybody can handle a few insults to their race, even over the internet. Last time I checked, some people here *possibly* committed suicide over insults that were directed to them, even if they were directed through something which, you can even say, doesn’t exist. It is simply a matter of composition.
I know you don’t care about it, but the fact is there are others who are hurt by comments said by people they’ve never met. Moderators can’t do everything, obviously, but it is our job to try.
