I so agree with you. Why do freaking black people get scholorships just because of their race. We dont owe black people shit! If I had doubts before, I don’t have any anymore. Aaron, not to flat-out call you dumb, but did you ever think that just maybe, there are actually some schools where if not forced to, a black person who actually had HIGHER grades than the white person might not get in simply because of his skin color? Or do you think that any black young male who gets into college with the aid of affirmative action is a dumbshit who shouldn’t be going there? While there are cases where colored people may be getting in simply because of the color of their skin... this doesn’t even happen that often!
And about your other comment... while I as a black person do agree that black people who are still up in arms over slaver should stop whining about the past and start focusing on the future, THERE are PLENTY of things for black people to grope about RIGHT NOW. Whether it be the dirt-poor industrial slums that are known as the Bronx or the “suburban” hell-hole that is East Saint Louis, there are many, many black people living FAR below the poverty line. It’s almost as if their being transported back in time (in terms of acceptable living conditions).
There are countless systems which exclude people based on race, including jury duty in the case of a minority. While people say that a black jury would obviously be prejudiced in the case of a black felon, do they ever stop and think about how its normal for an entirely white jury to preside over a WHITE felon?
moral questions like this hamper the system, and education is no exception.

YEah but white people dont have the same scholorship as black people. There is alot of white people in poverty too and for them to deny them because they are not black is wrong.

Not to burst your bubble, but its not like there’s a shortage of white college students. Black students, on the other hand... while the college attendance rate has improved, it is FAR below the rate of white people. So, maybe the government actually has good reasons to boost it up?

if only it were that simple... many black children who grow up in poverty-stricken neighborhoods are not taught the value of education by their parents because the parents themselves never had a reason to develop that value. As such, the children follow in the footsteps of their parents and as soon as their out of high-school, dismiss school as having been a waste of their youth. This is partly due to the fact that our culture tells them that all a black male can do to stand out is to become a rapper, gangster, etc.
