I have gone through both of the thread titles things and obviously I was Un-successful cause here I am but I know what its like. So yeah, I can help people if they need someone to talk to.
Well I understand this, I have a friend who tells me he may commit suicide everynight... I am at a loss as per what to do...
I am like the only one who knows and I don’t even know him that well.... in fact i met him at a dance and he is one of my friend’s friends... but she treats him like crap...
he wants to hang out a lot and stuff but i am busy A LOT
I try to help him but i feel that this one is out of my hands... as much as i hate to say it, i know if i didnt get help... well i actually have know clue what i would be like...
Does anyone have any advice?
No matter how sad you are, you should never try to commit suicide. It isn’t worth it. No matter how unloving people me be, there will always be someone out there who will love you, you just need to find them.

he wants attention from you, and you can make him happy, if you ate lunch with him like once a week, and make him feel that someone likes him as a friend

The only reason you should commit sucide is if you know you are going to face a horrible death (getting stabbed to death with a needle)
Then just shoot yourself or something

the only reason you are depressed is because you choose to be depressed. Just stop caring about things, then you will find out you will be much happier.
I used to be really depressed in 8th grade, and I found this way out, and now I am very solemnly sad, and am happy.

Like don’t worry about anything, if something bad happens just forget about it.
And how you do this is pretty hard, you just have to keep trying. I basically kept telling my mind this until i believed it and life has been a lot better.

Right, This is a cry for attention. He doesn’t really want to commit suicide, he justs wants to be noticed by somebody. He feels neglected and that is why he wants to spend time with you. he is lonely. Just spending a little time with him will help but be careful as he may get too attached and want to spend too much time with you. basically he just needs a friend.

Of course there is. Please don’t take this personally, but how old are you. Being depressed during your teens is quite common and is mostly to do with major hormonal changes within your body. All forms of depression is caused by a buildup of hormone in your brain which creates a chemical imbalance. Lacking direction in life may feel like depression but it isn’t. Being sad and lonely may feel like depression but it isn’t. Both of these things can be cured with a positive attitude and finding something to do that you find interesting and stimulating.
Exercise is a good start as it creates Serotonin, a chemical that makes you feel good, similar to how drugs do. This is step one.
Step two is to identify as to why you feel depressed and make steps to change this aspect of our life. Everything can b changed in life, if not the situation, than at least your perspective on the situation. That is step two.
Step 3 is realizing although things may suck right now or even for a while yet, time is long and is your friend when it comes to change. You wont be this age forever and good things will happen in time. Just don’t get too fixated upon the here and now. Look optimistically into the future and give yourself hope. That should see you through some of the harder times.
Remember Suicide is not the answer, EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE IT IS ONLY ANSWER/SOLUTION THAT EXISTS.
BY COMMITTING SUICIDE YOU ARE DENYING THE DAY THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR SITUATION AND MAKE LIFE WONDERFUL. WHO KNOWS, THAT DAY MAY HAVE BEEN TOMORROW AND IF YOU ARE DEAD, WELL, YOU MISSED OUT. ALL FOR THE SAKE OF ONE DAY
