Yes, yes it is.

Hi all!
In this message I will try to outline - and keep updated - a clear and full list of rules and posting guidelines on MovieCodec.com.
1) Cracks, warez, serialz, illegal files etc. You are not allowed to discuss these things or post links to these things!
2) Suicide; In the past, and occasionally stil, suicide is discussed - in relation to this you are NOT allowed to ask how you can kill yourself, nor are you allowed to post suggestions or to encourage (immediately and without warning this will cause a ban) people to do it.
3) Watch your language a bit please. Excessive profanity will not be tolerated.
4) Posting death threats is strictly forbidden, if you do this a ban is likely, especially if you ignore warnings.
5) Discrimination against certain racial groups, sexual orientation or otherwise is generally also NOT allowed. Debate is welcome, even heated debates, ie. about religion; but you have no right, or permission, to post inflamatory or clearly rediculous allegations against certain religons etc.
6) Spamming the forums, obviously, is not allowed.
7) You are responsible for anything that you post, not the staff of moviecodec.com. If you disagree with this, DO NOT POST.
8) Keep to the point! If a topic is for discussing a specific problem or question, posting replies that are totally unrelated will get moderated (ofcourse the moderators do realize that some topics do not have a specific purpose or point so the “keep to the point” rule is taken much more leniently here).
9) Posting or linking to pornographic material is strictly prohibited.
That’s it! This is a work in progress and I will update this message over time to better describe the points and possibly add new points. Reply to this topic if you have comments or suggestions.
Um technically, its not spamming as the whole topic is for building up your post count, therefore he is not going off topic and each post in that topic is relevant
I can see doing it a bit as being within the rules, but over 10,000 posts, over and over, saying almost the exact same thing, yeah it’s a little extreme don’t you think?

then you should be banned for making it!
And why is that. Is it because I purposefully created a thread so that people would start spamming that one instead of randomly spamming topics and ruining perfectly good threads.
Tis a good thing I did for Movie Codec and if you read the very first post in that thread, you would know this.
I didn’t create it to pollute Movie Codec, I created it to stop Movie Codec from being poluted.
If that upsets you and you still think I deserve a ban, then by all means take it up with the Modarators and Bjarne and I will accept what ever punishment they deem fit.

It is a bit EXTREME, but still not against the rules. After all he isn’t hurting anyone or destroying the other threads, which is a good thing right?

I guess, but it kind of bugs me that he’s got so many posts on just random spam. I had to work for my 11,000 posts, and he does it with some kind of posting program and gets it done in just a few days.

The Dog-Mod! Rep: 52 Joined: 28 Dec 2006 Posts: 18,821 | Yeah, that ticked me off at first too. Thats why I did like a 3 day no sleep posting binge as some kind of retribution, cause I wasn’t happy about Cardice getting a custom rank when I worked my ass off to get over 2000 proper responsive posts.
But now, I don’t let it bother me. He calls himself spammer and people know it. I know that your custom rank was earned legitimately and half of mine was too.
It is just a rank after all and it’s a members personality that I think is important, not how many posts they did or did not make.
Try to ignore it. I don’t even look at peoples post counts anymore. I don’t see the point. Just be happy that people know who got their rank legitimately and who fudged it by using some program or exploit

1) Bringing back old topics is not spamming and not agaist the rules if I see one more case about you throwing a fit over it I will do everything to get your mod privlage taken from you.
2)It is not spamming if the topic is about spamming. NO brainer there.
I’m out.

Car Dice didn’t do shit, I can guarantee that. Just a few minutes ago is the first time this computer has been on MVC, I had to blank my hard drive and reinstall widows completely, so if there was a virus I got rid of it. Also take into account that I was gone, I didn’t even log on for at least two days. I couldn’t have contracted a virus with all the firewalls and virus protection I have anyways. It’s just a glitch in the site itself, nothing more.
Cardice can take responsibility for what happened, but he’s just trying to make people think he’s smarter then he really was. I don’t see how, under the circumstances, he could have caused the problem. Either way though, I salute you for your hard work Bjarne, thank you.
I thanked Bjarne in this thread
