Well luckily, I didn’t get injured like you. After you left, I was assigned as spotter for another sniper. Unfortunately, there was a weapon malfunction that sent an ejected cartridge into my eye. Luckily, it mostly hit the eyelid, but I still got some scratches on my eye. They gave me an eyepatch and kept me out of combat for a while. Then I went back to spotting.
But right now, I’m in the States on leave. Katie actually offered to let me stay. Good thing too. Laurie ran off with some Latino sonofabitch, and when I got back, the house had been reposessed and sold to someone else. So right now I’m staying with Katie and Jack. He’s looking good, by the way. May join the Corps like his dad. | |
