Yes it does, someone put up a link and it cost $800 for a Blueray player seperate. No1 buys Hps anymore its actually pretty much Dell and Mac, mostly Dells because Macs const $ and lots of it!!!1

But they are NOT making a profit. Sony is losing money on the PS3.
Besides, Sony makes more than enough money from its other branches, and keep in mind the Playstation department isn’t the main power. If the head man decides to cut out the Playstation department because he realizes that they could save billions by just cutting it off entirely, then there will be no future Playstation.
Personally, that is what I see happening. That’s one of the reasons Sony will most likely die and Nintendo is nearly immortal. Nintendo isn’t quitting because it relies solely on the consoles, so they work themselves to the bone to make good, fun consoles that everyone will enjoy, and when they do fail (ala GameCube), they just get back up with a big ol' sucker punch (ala Wii).

nintendo failed with both n64 and gc, while sony made millions on ps1 and ps2, the guy isnt gona go and say i can save lots if i cut the playstation brand cus there is too much profit coming in from the playstation brand to cut it, and microsoft lost several billion on xbox yet they still made another console evn tho b4 they neva made a console that made a profit!

Microsoft didn’t lose money on every 360 made though!!!

I am very proud of PS2 but everytime people will try to buy new stuff for it they will run into a Wii,360,or PS3 which is bad for PS2!!!
