Death Metal, just because it’s generally more listenable (better production quality). That said, many Black Metal bands incoporate alsorts of random influences that keep the genre interesting.

Death. It’s usually much heavier than Black metal. Most Black metal is pretentious, but there are some good B/M bands every now and then.

both r sick but i like the whole melodic death metal genre better anyways.
in terms of death/melodic metal nothing beats bands like Opeth,In Flames,Soilwork,and Amorphis\m/

*CoF is probably my favorite black metal band though*

umm like the first 3 or 4 Cradle albums were all black metal no question..look em up man..they were pretty good to better than their new stuff
