It’s all good.

They don’t have random influences. As I have been getting into metal, I have been exploring underground black metal bands, and they talk about stuff like depression, everyday issues, suicide, and sometimes satanism. (black metal has gotten its satanic stereotype from the more popular bands, in real life, black metal is not ALL about satanism, at least the underground bands like Be Persecuted, Anorexia Nervosa, Peste Noire, Chthonic, Envy, and many others.)

Black metal not about satanism? How many second or first wave blck metal bands didnt have at least one song about fucking the virgin mary in the ass with a cross? A band that held christian beliefs was dropped from their label, man. Dont be a tool.

I would think black metal. The underground black metal bands are extremely heavy.

Actually, death is probably the most consistently heavy. Both have their moments, though....

I did not say it was NOT about satanism exactly, some is. More underground stuff doesn’t exactly talk alot about satanism from what I have listened to. Mayhem and Emperor, sure, are mainly satanic, but many bands are not too satanic.

I have not listened to many Scandinavian bands, I mainly listed to bands from Norway, though they can be pretty satanic too. But anyway, the stuff I listen to does not carry as much satanism as more popular black metal like mayhem and emperor

Scandinavia is a region, including sweden, denmark, finland, and, this may come as a surprise, norway. And popular black metal? Really? And I know, not all has satanism, but most of it has at least some satanic connotion.

What I mean by more famous black metal bands. Not that black metal is a part of mainstream culture. If it was, I probably would not be listening to it.

I agree all bands will have at least one satanic song, but not all of the songs are. I can stand a band that has a few songs about satan, but when you hear about satan repetitively, I find it real annoying.

Scandinavian bands, in my opinion, are probably the best bands in the Death and Black metal scene. I think all European music in general is much better than American music.... well today at least.

I count Metallica as European because they hardly ever tour in the US because everyone in the US hates them.

Americans piss me off...

Back to the point... I prefer Death metal. But I listen to Power metal and Thrash alot more than Death or Black metal. So yeah I don’t really care.

Bands like Vader and Cannibal Corpse fucking own though.

I agree with you, but Metallica is very popular in my area, at least when they sold out. I don’t really listen to their new stuff.
