Anybody know why The Island is Michael Bay’s lowest box office selling movie? In my opinion it was the best Michael Bay movie ever. It’s no classic but it sure beats the hell out of Bad Boys 1 & 2, Con Air and his other films apart from The Rock which I consider his 2nd best film.

Yup. I just don’t get it why it didn’t do as much as his other films which weren’t any better.

I have no idea. It was like a updated version of the Running Man and Logans Run combined.

It was bloody good I thought. Perhaps it had to do with the other movies that were screening at the same time. I think that Chronicles of Riddick and Stealth also opened that same week which may have sucked in more box office dollars and movie goers.

I wasn’t much of a Bad Boys fan. They were entertaining, but far from essential viewing. The Rock is one of my Fav’s and Con Air was well done also, But I defiantly think that The Island was one of his best, well until Transformers gets a showing anyhowwink

I have to admit, Chronicles of Riddick was also very good though. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Transformers though? Feat or Dud?

I think its gonna be awesome.

It has been panned by fellow Fanboys as the character models are in some cases far from the design of the originals, but after seeing some of it in action, mainly from the trailer, I think it’s gonna drop some jaws.

That’s good news. I wonder why hollywood still hasn’t made Voltes 5, Voltron, Mazinger Z and the likes into movies though. Lots of Fanboys would be happy.

It flopped because of the name. People were confused about what the movie was actually about from the title of the movie.

Another reason was not enough advertisment for the movie. I never heard of the movie until litterly the day it came out.
