If the door is only locked on the handle and opens in, you should be able to use a credit card or some thin piece of plastic to ease the bolt open.
If the deadbolt is locked, do the following-
-Find two paper clips, and bend one end out on each.
-Take the first one and ease its bent out tip into the top of the keyhole on the deadbolt.
Now, the trick is somewhat difficult if you don’t have experience, so here’s lockpicking 101:
1. Toggle the clip tip up and down until it goes just a bit further into the keyhole. Keep it at the top, though.
2. After the clip has eased in further, take the second one and carefully insert it below the already inserted clip.
3. Toggle the lower clip you just inserted up and down until it moves in further.
4. Move the top clip even with the bottom one.
5. Repeat until all the pins on the lock are released, the clips won’t go in further, or if the keyhole can be rotated. If it can, turn it and open the door.
Problem solved 
But try and find a door that opens in and use the credit card deal if only the handle is locked...its easier...
